Over the last several weeks, I’ve been spending a lot more time at the library. I took a part-time job there and I must say, I’m enjoying it. One thing I have noticed during my time in the back room is that there are alot of really great, thought-provoking book titles out there. Every once in a while, I come across something that is simply brilliant and I’ve started keeping a list. I figured this would be a great place to post such a list, so here you go:
People get screwed all the time : protecting yourself from scams, fraud, identity theft, fine print, and more by Robert Massi (Granted, it’s a serious topic, but you really have to love the attitude conveyed here)
Fat, broke & lonely no more! : your personal solution to overeating, overspending, and looking for love in all the wrong places by Victoria Moran (It’s got everything!)
You are worthless : depressing nuggets of wisdom sure to ruin your day by Oswald T. Pratt (Enough said.)
Beauty fades, dumb is forever : the making of a happy woman by Judy Sheindlin (I second that!)
It’s called work for a reason! : your success is your own damn fault by Larry Winget (Well, now we know!)
Those are just a few. I’m sure I’ll have more as time passes, but I felt that these were noteworthy and I plan to read them all. This is the advantage of working where the books are. Perhaps I’ll even find one on grammar.
Until next time…
